The Substance Hat

A bold, conceptual reversible hat inspired by the film The Substance. This design explores duality and transformation, telling a story through color and form.

The yellow side represents Elizabeth—refined, composed, and self-assured—while the pink side symbolizes her younger counterpart, Sue, expressed through a more daring and provocative aesthetic. Within this single piece, they exist together—two identities united in one striking silhouette.

The hat is adorned with a handcrafted ribbon in the signature tone of “the substance,” featuring the word Activator—a subtle yet powerful reference to the moment of transformation. The ribbon is fixed in place and cannot be removed, serving as an integral part of the design.
